proclaims the final week in November
In front of a small audience comprising GSJ Council Members, the Governor-General remarked on the contribution of geology to the development of Jamaica and praised the different generations of geologists present at Kings House.
The Governor-General was presented with a specially-prepared rudist collection by Dr Simon Mitchell and Dr Gavin Gunter.
The week will feature many activities, culminating in the 50th Anniversary Conference, Banquet and Field Trip series.
